Key Features

The EMS Mobile App links an Apple or Android smartphone to your EMS database – helping your everyday uses find, book, check in, or cancel workspaces. With the Mobile App, users can:

  • Create new bookings or browse to find a meeting.
  • Search for and invite attendees to a meeting.
  • View attendee availability calendar data through Exchange Integration or Google Calendar Integration.
  • Save time with proximity-based room and location filters (area, building, views, capacity) and intuitive defaults for start and end times.
  • Personalize the app with settings like self-designated favorites and time zone defaults.
  • Check in by swiping or via QR Code and, if needed, limit the range of allowed activities through geo-fencing.
  • Download from public app or via private deployment sites and stores and get automatic app update alerts.
  • Log on securely through multiple authentication options, including optional two-factor authentication with Google Authenticator.
  • Take advantage of persistent authentication (automatic log in users after initial authentication).

Unlike other EMS access points, the native EMS Mobile App was designed to use a smartphone's hardware features. For example, using the phone's camera, everyday users of the EMS Mobile App can scan a QR code on a desk to book or check-in to meetings. Administrators can set a proximity-based check-in distance so that users will be able to check-in to their meeting when they are within a certain distance of the building.

Technical Specifications

Organizations can deploy the EMS Mobile App in one of two ways:

  • Have your users download the app via Apple and Google Play.
  • Deploy a private enterprise app store. This approach can also be integrated with your company's Mobile Device Management system. Private deployments can change the app name, app icon, and the EMS logo to their own.
