Microsoft® Exchange is a primary communications hub for large organizations. EMS works with Microsoft Exchange Web Services (EWS) to:

EMS pulls course data from Student Information Systems (SIS) in order to facilitate room scheduling for courses. This bi-directional integration allows rooms assigned in EMS to be written back to the SIS. With EMS SIS integration, academic institutions can:

  • Pull course and instructor information from the SIS to create multiple scheduling scenarios.
  • Quickly publish selected scheduling scenarios for students and instructors to view.

Skype for Business

For everyday users who want a simple and more direct link to popular video conferencing tools, EMS offers one-click reservations through integration with Skype for Business. EMS offers the only commercially available Skype for Business integration for meeting and room scheduling software platforms.

When users book their own meetings through the EMS Web App and EMS Mobile App, a simple toggle of a switch makes EMS:

  • Add the Skype meeting information directly to the meeting reservation.
  • Invite any in-room Skype-enabled VC technology assigned to the meeting space (or select a mobile VC resource).

You no longer need to worry about connecting a meeting with the backend technology. At the meeting start, one click on the fixed or mobile technology starts the video conference. And if a user wants to join from their EMS Mobile App, a simple click opens the Skype for Business meeting app on their iPhone or Android phone.

Users can also add Skype meetings to their EMS reservations in Microsoft Outlook using both the EMS and Skype add-ins for Outlook.

Building automated control system integration / HVAC

Unused space often has heating, cooling, and other utilities continually running — equating to a large, unnecessary expense.
