In 2013, Harvard rolled out a new instance of EMS, which incorporated the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, including the undergraduate college, and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Studies. Collectively they comprised over 11,000 students, faculty, and staff. Since going live, this instance has expanded to include the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Divinity School, and the School of Dental Medicine, bringing the total population to over 12,500. As with all implementations, each constituent brought a unique set of needs and challenges. Attend this presentation with Michael Kinney, EMS System Administrator, as he discusses the lessons learned from each roll-out, including the benefits of expanding an implementation, what to look out for when considering adding a new constituent, and potential problems that may be encountered during an implementation.
