Higher Ed Leaders to Discuss Digital Learning Spaces at EMS Live! 2015

Denver, CO (July 13, 2015) – EMS Software by DEA, the leading provider of resource scheduling management software, today announced new higher education speakers to be featured at EMS Live! 2015, the company’s annual cross-industry conference to be held in Orlando from October 26-28.

The conference is adding two new high-profile speakers to its current lineup of speakers:

Paige Francis: CIO of Fairfield University and a 2014 Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader as well as one of the Huffington Post’s Top 50 Most Social CIOs, Francis will discuss Fairfield’s information technology (IT) transformation from providing traditional IT support to the creation and implementation of a personalized digital campus experience.
David Jakes: a global speaker and recognized leader in the educational technology field, Jakes specializes in the intersection of space and learning. He will lead a conceptual and provocative discussion about designing for a more expansive condition of learning that asks the question: “Where are your big ideas around space and learning?”

"Francis and Jakes bring incredible perspective to the discussion about the digital and physical learning space from design, implementation and management. These speakers will share the trends and best practices that are at the heart of student, faculty and staff engagement," said Robert Cesafsky, vice president of strategy and planning at DEA. Cesafsky also joins the speakers’ lineup to cover digital workplace strategy best practices.

Held at the Orlando World Center Marriott, the conference will delve into a wide range of topics. They include the factors driving change in the workplace and learning space, the future work and learning places, the latest technology innovations for space and resource scheduling and the trends driving increased space utilization across an organization.

More than a thousand workplace and learning space leaders are expected to gather and connect on these topics, network with colleagues, preview the next major EMS software release and learn how to maximize use of EMS software day-to-day.

Conference attendees will have a number of opportunities to interact with the EMS Software support, development and consulting teams during sessions and at the Innovation Lab. Conference sessions will cover everything from academic scheduling and event management to office hoteling, workspace and meeting room management at any organization.
